The 2020–21 UEFA Nations League will be the second season of the UEFA Nations League, an international association football competition. Portugal is the Defending champion of the Nations League. This edition will look to build on that success, with a couple of tweaks this time around.
The competition will be held from September 3, 2020, to March 29, 2022. The league phase is played out in September, October, and November 2020, the finals will be played in September or October 2021 and the Relegations playouts are scheduled to be held on 24-29 March 2022.
There are a total of 55 teams participating in this tournament. The teams are divided into 4 leagues which are named by League A, League B, League C, and League D.

The UEFA has said no fans will be able to attend Nations League matches in September but some member countries said they were ready to have crowds. In a meeting to all 55 UEFA member associations decided that the first two rounds of games would be behind closed doors for a consistent approach.
The football associations, English football’s governing body, said its aim to get some level of crowds an Englands’s internationals in October.
